Meet The Trainer

Dave PascoeI have had a passion for safety on the roads ever since meeting the Green Cross Code Man at primary school! This interest led me to qualify as a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) in 2008. Since then, I have helped many clients on their journey to becoming safe and considerate drivers, the majority of whom passed their driving tests first time.

Having been an instructor in High Wycombe for more than 9 years, I have a good knowledge of the local area and best places to practice. I have also sat in the back seat for many driving tests, which has helped me to appreciate the things that can go wrong during the test, and how the pressure can cause people to drive differently from their lessons.

In February 2015, I became a DVSA Approved Fleet Trainer. This means I am qualified to coach full licence holders and company car / van drivers, to identify areas of potential risk and help improve their driving.

In March 2015, I had my periodical DVSA Standards Check, during which an examiner sits in on one of my lessons for quality control. I was delighted to receive an ‘A’ Grade with a score of 48/51 for my lesson.

In December 2017, I qualified as a car examiner and trainer for Diamond Advanced Motorists and passed the Diamond Elite Driving Test

I am a member of the Driving Instructor Association (DIA) and of the local Instructor Association of Wycombe and District Driving Instructors (AWDDI).
I have a clear CRB check.
Meet The Person

Cadwell 6It’s not about me; it’s about you, the client. However, just in case you are interested in a little personal detail, please read on:

My name is Dave Pascoe and I am somewhere in between young and old! I live in High Wycombe with my wife of 23 years, our two young adult daughters, and our rescue dog Arthur the Lurcher; if we share a car, you will undoubtedly hear plenty about his exploits…

I am a keen motorcyclist and have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, and have even ridden in South Africa, which was an amazing experience. I have passed my RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) bike test with a gold award three times. I formerly helped people to train for their advanced motorcycle test with the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists).

I enjoy running, eating out, and watching motorcycle racing. I am also a big fan of 80’s music and rock, especially Pink Floyd and Queen.

During my previous career in the print industry, I was involved in many departments and specialised in client liaison, which is where I learned the importance of putting the customer first. I have communicated with people at all levels of business and can adapt my style to suit anyone.

I look forward to hearing all about you!
